Two ways to play God

Method one: run around trying to get everyone to do what I want them to do, through coercion, persuasion, charm, flattery, or other techniques.

Method two: do nothing but quietly fume that everyone else will not do what I want them to do.

Either way, I've usurped God's role as the Deviser of Plans.

The solution: drop the plans and go to God, asking only for God's will for me: namely the right thought or action.
