What is surrender to God?

Lock yourself in and push the key under the door so you have to get on with it. What’s the ‘it’? Under God’s guidance constructing a list of things to do today that represent your best guess as to what God’s will is for you, for you to act as a channel for God’s love, mercy, and service to the world. Whilst you’re keeping your feet on the ground in this way, keep your head in the clouds with God. You are always protected; you are always safe; you’re a spirit sent to this realm, and as a spirit nothing can harm you. All else—everything other than performing God’s will and staying close to God in your mind and heart—lies outside, and between you and the outside is a door you locked and to which you threw away the key.
